Description
Multilevel statistical models is a field still undergoing considerable development and topics covered by multilevel models have exploded since the second edition with the methods widely applied in the social sciences as well as in areas such as epidemiology, geography, education, surveys and medicine. The third edition of this text incorporates thinking on methodology and software, as well as literature that has been published since the second edition. It includes chapters on meta analysis, factor analysis and structural equation models and has expanded sections on MCMC methods. The author is also the creator of MLwiN software, and the text describes the features of this package. In addition, the volume discusses the other resources available for multilevel modelling, for example on the Internet, and looks at how these can be used.
